Hello, you could make a fashion for oil, that it would end and disappear completely from the map

It's actually pretty simple mod to do - need to modify oil prototype to remove the infinite flag out of it. That will make oil wells depletable as any ore deposit. I'm not sure how it will affect the overall oil contents before depleting since I don't know the details on how mining works with infinite fluids.

Try to make such a mod, I would definitely use it.

I'm pretty sure you can grab linked one, extract it and change factorio version in json file to 0.16. It should work without problems.
