Hi Orbital!

Just wanted to let you know, I suggested to thesixthroc to consider integrating your mod in the hardcore mode project.

I also wanted to express my compliments to you for making this.
I think that the way you thought of handling the rocket silo & cargo pod recipe changes feels so seamless/perfect that I think this is how vanilla should have been.

As a result, I playing “vanilla” SA except for this mod and even distribution.

Also, I have a suggestion for some content, I mentioned it in the post I linked, so I’ll just copy:

“following the same philosophy as the cargo pods, it would make sense to have the actual rockets also be separate logistical entities that can exist outside of the silo.”

What would you think of moving the “rocket part entity” construction outside of the rocket silo and into an assembler, creating some rocket parts, with a separate recipe of some of rocket parts creating the “rocket” entity. ( or just skip the rocket parts and directly create the rocket)

The rocket silo then requires only the rocket, the pod and some fuel.

Emergent QOL behaviour is that it would then be possible to load blue circuits and LDS in the silo with inserters.

Thanks for the feedback. I just released a massive update that hopefully includes your feedback the way you envisioned it. Thank you for the great idea! I'll spare you the details here and point you to the youtube video and document updates on the information page.

I'd love to integrate this with hardcore. I'd also love if there is someone on that team that could help some of my short comings with artwork and the now returning rocket booster after launch.
