Ready to Shoot 2
Ready to Shoot 2 turns the vanilla gun turret into a basic-tier turret and adds three researchable preloaded variants: standard, advanced, and uranium.
Basic Tier
Newly built vanilla gun turrets are issued with 100 Basic Magazines.
- Basic Magazines deal 50% of the damage of a firearm magazine.
- They are hidden, have no recipe, and cannot be crafted.
- The player cannot carry them.
- When a turret containing Basic Magazines is mined or deconstructed, the Basic Magazines are deleted.
- They never enter the deconstruction buffer, player inventory, or logistic network.
- The 50% damage value is copied from the final
firearm-magazineprototype indata-final-fixes, so it follows other mods that change normal ammo before that stage.
Basic Magazines are not a normal item. They cannot be crafted, carried, stored, or returned. The only way to get them is to build a vanilla gun turret.
The vanilla gun turret remains the basic tier even after research. The research tiers unlock separate preloaded turret items.

Deconstruction
- A loaded turret returns a normal gun turret item plus its remaining magazines.
- The loaded deployment item itself is consumed, so a turret cannot be placed, mined, and replaced with the same free ammo.
- The vanilla turret's Basic Magazines simply disappear.
Notes
- Loaded turret recipes disallow productivity and quality to prevent free ammo.
- Loaded turrets have no fast replace.
- Only newly built turrets are filled; existing turrets in an old save are not retrofitted.
- Ammo colours in the icons and logo: basic = grey, standard/normal = yellow, advanced = red, uranium = poison green.
