Rail Upgrade Mod

Adds various rail-related upgrades/items.

Locomotives

  • Stack size is increased to 20 for every locomotives.

  • Each locomotive has a unique minimap icon for easier identification.

  • Light weight locomotives

  • Have same acceleration as original but are lighter. (Hyper-level has slightly higher acceleration)

  • Improved versions need low density structures.

  • Hyper-level needs carbon fiber in space age.

  • More suitable for short-distance transport.

  • Displayed as a green icon on the minimap.

  • High-speed locomotives

  • Have higher acceleration, but are heavier.

  • Additional materials are required. Also, improved versions need low density structures.

  • Hyper-level needs tungsten in space age.

  • More suitable for long-distance transport.

  • Displayed as a blue icon on the minimap.

Cargo wagons & fluid wagons

  • Stack size is increased to 40.

  • Lighter variants have less cargo space.

  • Heavier variants have more cargo space.

Advanced rails

  • New railroads requiring tungsten plates and carbon fiber.

  • In exchange for the high cost, production rate is high, and stack size is larger.

  • Removal speed is twice as fast.

  • Good for massive railway production on various planets.

  • Supports elevated rails and can connect to vanilla railroads.

Technologies

  • Light weight locomotive (1~3)

  • High-speed locomotive (1~3)

  • Advanced rail

  • Infinite rail productivity (10% per level)

  • Infinite braking force upgrade (15% per level)

Plans

  • Add recipes for space age

  • Balancing

This is my first factorio mod ever, so it is more like practice for making mods.
