Simply adds radiation damage from uranium items and ore patches. Also, the reactor explodes when it reaches 1000 degrees (optional)

Hi, it's me again.

I'm thinking of adding your mod to my next game, but I have a few questions.

Is there a way to protect yourself from radiation, or do you "just" have to do everything remotely with bots ?
And what happens on a space platform if there are nuclear cells in the hub ? Will the player die during the flight ?

If nothing has already been planned for this, perhaps you could create an equipment module that would immunise against this danger, but which would take up space to compensate (3x4 perhaps, or more). That way, it would be something you would only equip when necessary.

As for the recipe, perhaps use tungsten carbide in it, so that the equipment is not available too quickly, while still being available before travelling to Aquilo. I did a quick search for realism, and it seems that tungsten is used in the nuclear industry, unlike carbon and holmium which could have come from the other two planets.

Hi! Thanks for the report again.

My original idea was that radioactive items should be handled remotely only: by using belts, inserters, and locomotives, while keeping the player character away from radiation. And bots, for sure.

And what happens on a space platform if there are nuclear cells in the hub? Will the player die during the flight?

I checked this: radioactivity on a space platform does not affect the player character :)

I do not currently plan to introduce any special equipment. I would like to keep the mod simple. However, you might want to check out this mod: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Stuckez12_Radiation
