The mod has a dependency on space age. Would it be possible to support it in a non space age run?

Unfortunately not as it uses space-age assets; not requiring it would breach Wube's licence.

I do have the DLC. Just don’t want to play with planets. I believe I saw some other mods on the portal that use spage assets but require the dlc (like a mech armor mod and standalone foundry etc mod). But not sure if they just break license or have found a way to check if dlc is available to use assets

I'll have a think about that.
An alternative would be to use "Everything on Nauvis" or "Space is Fake" that use space-age but all on the start planet.
I am currently doing a EoN run myself in order to avoid other planets.

Both Aluminium and Electronics use my Machines mod which needs space-age assets to be loaded and therefore required.
