You can use the vanilla in-game upgrade planner to upgrade quality of anything, including modules. Not sure why you'd make this mod.

you can? how? i don't see an option to upgrade the quality of machines without first adding everything into a planner one by one

When you unlock robots there's a green button, bottom right of the screen to make green blueprints.
It works the same as other blueprints :
Click on it to create new one and drag it in your inventory, you can then right click it to upgrade or downgrade specific machines, you can set "from" and "to".

yes, specific machines, buggi made it sound as though there was a wildcard one that needed only a few clicks to fully configure

If you want to go from uncommon to rare, then rare to epic then epic to legendary, yes it's more clicks to do that.

we're talking about not having to pre-select which entities to upgrade in the planner
