This is by design, this is currently my least favorite of the planets and doesn't have too much different. I updated the information a bit for clearity. But the goal here was a Nauvis replacement (I moved it from T0 to T1 not too long ago).. I might end up making it T4 (i.e. just have tons of Gleba mobs with some Uranium). Either way I'd probably need to remove soil generation to be more clear.
