Hello this mod is just an updated version of an old mod that uses a chest to move the resources, this is the original mod with instructions: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/ore-manager. You basically craft a chest, place over resources, then pick it up and place it again to place the captured ore patch.
I recommend you to check my newer mod it uses the selection mechanism instead: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/resource-manager , it adds 2 buttons to the quickbar (if you dont see them click the small 3 dots button)
