Only Nauvis

A normal Nauvis start, but every other planet is replaced with asteroid belts, so space platforms are still required. Go asteroid mining for Tungsten, Scrap, Lithium and Pentapods to progress through the usual Space Age tech tree.

g [actually fixed] Planet Compatibility Issue

(updated 5 months ago)

Doesn't seem like the listed compatibility actually functions properly, as it shows the planetary connections but not the planets themselves, nor can they actually be traveled to.
Tested on 2.4, 2.3, 2.2, and 2.0 (2.0 doesnt show the connections at all, being pre-"compat")

Also appears to be interferring with the map gen settings of Planet Castra, preventing load.

Hi there,

what other mod(s) are you trying to use alongside this?
Thanks

Hi again,

Whoops, nevermind, it looks like I rolled back a change without noticing. I've now actually applied the fix that so planets will appear and be available to travel to.

I noticed a genuine new issue which is that planets which are added with no links to Nauvis (i.e. they would link to Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora/Aquilo) would be impossible to navigate to (since with this mod, those planets literally do not exist). I've added a simple migration to map those routes to Vulcanus remnants / Gleba Remnants / Fulgora remnants / Aquilo remnants respectively.

I picked a few planet mods at random - the map looks healthier now https://imgur.com/a/3Rxy5P0

Thanks
Jack

p.s. what I haven't done is balance pass certain planetary remnants for a full transit (vulcanus remnants will probably be brutal) - I'll look another time. In the mean time, good luck!

Awesome! Perfect for me in either case, even Vulcanus.

I did just run into an issue while testing, which I don't think is fixable by this mod.

Navigating to other "actual" planets requires a condition to be set, or the ship will never travel. This (I think) is due to the way Space Age handles "planet-less" space destinations that it will be travelling through.
So - they will work, but you MUST set a wait condition on the planet. Otherwise the ship never sets off.

Thanks
Jack
