Seems that even with the right mod settings selected, there's no way to acquire lube with no oil wells and the mod seems to break a bunch of the links in the tech tree so things like advanced/red circuits and chemical science packs are impossible to research.

Edit: Removing the mod still leaves the tech tree broken. Save is ruined :c
Starting a new game without the mod has the correct tech tree intact

Lube is still made from heavy oil. You can get that from coal liquefaction, which now unlocks alongside chem plants, is made in a chem plant, and doesn't need any oil to get started. Someone else did report it as bugged, what version of the mod were you using?

Trying to get the tech tree to work has been a huge pain, I've just uploaded version 0.1.2 which hopefully fixes everything.

I... did not know that was possible. Wow. I'm really sorry about that. With any luck the new version should fix that but I can't promise anything.
