A graphical tweak for Nullius that changes a few things that personally bothered me during my play through. Supposedly, you start off on an oxygen-less planet and all of your furnaces are powered by electricity, yet you can visibly see flames burning right inside them! And worse yet, the power poles you construct out of iron, aluminum (or perhaps Nickel), and clearly insulate with plastic and later rubber, are clearly made of bare copper, a supposedly extremely rare and late game resource! No more shall these clear transgressions on logic and reasoning rule, for both of these glaring issues have been resolved.
This mod makes the following changes (all of these are optional and can be individually disabled in the settings):
-
small furnace 1, small furnace 2, and medium furnace 1 now use electric-type furnace models instead of vanilla burner-type furnace models.
-
Power line connections now match the color of insulated wire. (Can be optionally changed to other wire colors in the settings.)
-
The copper wire tool and shortcut now match the selected color of power lines. Additionally, the tool has been renamed from "copper wire" to "electrical wire"
-
Nauvis is given an updated description in the factoripedia that better fits the condition it is in at the start of the game.
All credits to the Electric Furnaces mod for the furnace graphics, and the code to change the graphics for the furnaces.
As well as Retextured Power Lines for the gray-colored power line concept. (I ended up hastily making my own graphics after being a bit dissatisfied with the power lines not casting shadows and being transparent, as the only graphical change I desired was power lines not being bare copper.)
Feel free to leave suggestions in the Discussion page! I don't promise to get around to every change, but I am interested in getting feedback!
