An update to an update! An update for https://mods.factorio.com/mod/no-nuke-scorch-redux to fix it so it works for 2.0 and Space Age, as well as Bob's Warfare. It also additionally comes with new settings you can toggle in the settings to change how it affects what nukes do to the world. A comprehensive list of said settings are listed below.

Mod settings

  • Prevent permanent terrain change to "Nuclear Ground" - Whether or not to allow explosion from nukes to permanently change the tiles and decorations on the ground to the "Nuclear Ground" tile set and "Nuclear Ground Patch" decorative.
  • Makes it so corpses and decorations are removed by the nuke and its shockwave. - Corpses consist of things like ground plants, tree stumps, etc. Decorations are things like grass tufts, bushes, etc.
  • Prevent temporary scorch marks from forming - Whether or not to allow the temporary scorch marks that form from nuke impact with the ground.
  • Set lifetime of scorch mark before they disappear - Requires "Prevent temporary scorch marks from forming" to be disabled
  • Scorch mark lifetime value - In seconds, whole numbers only
  • Set scale size of scorch mark - Requires "Prevent temporary scorch marks from forming" to be disabled
  • Scorch mark scale value - 1 = full size. If set higher than 1, the scorch mark will be bigger than the image's resolution and will look blurry as a result.
  • Set collision box size for scorch mark - The collision box for scorch marks is only used to determine whether or not the scorch mark will spawn if it collides with water tiles. This prevents it from hovering over the water despite it making no sense to. Requires "Prevent temporary scorch marks from forming" to be disabled
  • Scorch mark collision box value - Whole numbers only. Number put in is divided in half and then shifted to 0 being the center (e.g. the default is 9 as the normal numbers for the collision box are {{-4.5, -4.5}, {4.5, 4.5}}
  • Prevent space platform removal on nuke hit - Whether or not to allow space platform ground to be permanently deleted due to nuke damage.
  • Prevent ice to ammonia on nuke hit - Whether or not to allow ice on Aquilo to permanently disappear and be replaced with ammonia upon nuke damage. Allows scorch marks to form if you don't have them disabled from appearing.
  • Prevent ground to lava on nuke hit - Whether or not to allow Vulcanus ground to permanently disappear and be replaced with lava upon nuke damage. Allows scorch marks to form if you don't have them disabled from appearing.
  • Allow removed terrain from nuke on Vulcanus to repair itself - CPU intensive, may cause stuttering with holes in sight. Requires "Prevent ground to lava on nuke hit" to be disabled.
  • Allow removed terrain from nuke on Aquilo to repair itself - CPU intensive, may cause stuttering with holes in sight. Requires "Prevent ice to ammonia on nuke hit" to be disabled
  • Interval between repair progress - Holes repair from the outer ring going inward. In seconds, whole numbers only.

As a reminder, this mod will not remove already existing scorch marks or other various damage from nukes! It is solely to prevent new ones from forming so long as the mod is enabled.

If you use a mod that adds some sort of nuke variant and it's leaving those ugly scorch marks even with this mod enabled, let me know in the discussions what mod it is with a link to it! I'll see what I can do about adding support for said mod.
