The mod prevents you from researching past, bitter egg handling, as it is a trigger research that requires the act of capturing a spawner
I just turned the mod off then did it then turned it back on

I like this mod but this is a pretty big oversight. Also here's an alternate to turning the mod off and on /c game.player.force.technologies['biter-egg-handling'].researched=true
