Rare-earth processing and neodymium magnets. Wash stone for monazite, separate it in separator banks and make the magnets that electric engines, express belts and other later machines need; earlier machines get cheaper optional magnet recipes. Cerium and lanthanum go into optional recipes, dysprosium makes high-temperature magnets, and magnets build direct-drive wind turbines. Works with Space Age, BZ, Krastorio 2, Space Exploration, Planetfall and Timeken.

Version: 0.1.4
Date: 2026-10-03
Balancing:
- Optional pump and fast inserter recipes share one magnet across two outputs; offshore pumps share one across three. Non-magnet ingredients and crafting time scale with the batch, preserving engines per pump and crafting time per item.
- Bismanol variants use the same batches, with two bismanol per batch. Motor-part integrations are unchanged.
Version: 0.1.3
Date: 2026-10-02
Balancing:
- Optional pump recipes keep every engine unit from the host recipe and omit the separate steel plate. Each craft still makes one pump in vanilla, including the bismanol variant.
- Optional locomotive recipes keep half the host recipe's engine units, rounded up.
- Optional offshore pump recipes no longer double their output.
- Mining drill and pumpjack discounts round item quantities up instead of down.
- Polished titanium sapphire gives 25% more output instead of doubling it.
- Alloyed low density structures are capped at 200% productivity, or lower when the pack's recycling returns require it, to prevent material gains through recycling.
Bugfixes:
- Treated solid fuel rejects productivity modules and has a zero productivity cap, so neither modules nor built-in productivity create extra fuel energy.
- Ceria rocket fuel receives each productivity research bonus once instead of twice.
Compatibility:
- Existing optional pump and locomotive production lines need an engine-unit supply. Polished titanium sapphire now crafts in larger batches.
Version: 0.1.2
Date: 2026-09-30
Compatibility:
- With Manganese and Bismuth (trikop), in packs without a motor part: the optional magnet recipes for the electric mining drill, pumpjack, pump, offshore pump and fast inserter take 2 bismanol per magnet instead of neodymium magnets. They unlock with the new Bismanol motors research. The required magnet uses are unchanged.
- Existing saves in those packs: machines set to the old neodymium-magnet versions of these five recipes lose their recipe. Select the bismanol version.
- With Manganese, the magnetic separator takes 10 mangalloy instead of 10 steel. Magnetic separation then also needs the Mangalloy research (30 red science).
Version: 0.1.1

Changes:
- Mineral spiral: the water inlet is now at the red tanks on the left of the base. Reconnect the water pipe of spirals you have already built.
Graphics:
- Mineral spiral: the column stands on its footprint, so pipes meet the base on every side.
- Mineral spiral and separator bank: fluid connections show a pipe stub.
Version: 0.1.0
Date: 2026-09-29
Features:
- Rare-earth chain from stone: mineral spirals, sand sorting, monazite leach, separator banks with a reflux loop, neodymium oxide and magnets.
- Magnets are required in machines researched after Neodymium processing; earlier machines get much better optional magnet recipes (Magnet motors, Electric traction).
- The Neodymium motor replaces the pack's motor part in later recipes where a mod adds one (If I Had A Nickel, AAI Industry with bismanol).
- Cerium and lanthanum go into optional recipes: treated solid fuel, cracking catalyst, polishing powder, tailings landfill, rocket fuel, metal-hydride accumulators.
- Magnetic separation for a fifth more iron from the same ore.
- Animated direct-drive wind turbines, powered by air pressure and quality, with a startup setting to turn them off.
- Heavy rare earths: dysprosium for high-temperature magnets in power armor MK2, spidertrons, satellites and fusion generators.
- Space Age planet routes, Space Exploration hooks, and integrations with BZ, Timeken, Planetfall/Ashier, trikop, MDbob, Krastorio 2 and the Cadmium, Tellurium, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Gallium family.
