I'd kind of like to have compressors work at the right speed to compress a full belt of the matching tier, kind of like how deadlock's belt boxes and crating works; this would involve a nerf to the base compressor, presuming you match one to a basic belt, but I believe you need at least the second tier of belts before compression becomes available?

If you use Bob's belts then 25/s and its multiple is perfect because you can use yellow belts. If not... have fun balancing lol

huh. in that case, shouldn't the screenshot demonstrate that? it seems to imply that the match isn't 1:1 when using bob's belts...

That picture was from the 0.16.xx version of the mod, where Bob's belts are a multiple of 10/s, not 12.5/s.

It's still intended to do some balancing to fully utilize the throughput, but Bob coincidentally made belt speed to 12.5/s per tier, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
