I enabled Dynamic Recipes because I think it's really interesting for my playthrough, however I noticed that this unlocks all recipes using plastic (including recipes I have no business being able to craft quite yet). Molten Tungsten ( https://mods.factorio.com/mod/molten-tungsten ) also introduces these kinds of mechanics but for Tungsten, but additionally leaves an option to unlock the generated recipes with their corresponding technologies. I think this might be a feature worth implementing, as it's not listed in the 'to come' list on the mod's main page.

Heya!

Could you give me the concrete example where your recipes are being unlocked right away instead of with their corresponding technology? I made a loop for it but it's very rudimentary and would miss alternative recipes.

Currently it's unlocking Cubium's Cube Jelly recipe for me, as well as the Bioflux+Mash recipe which is locked behind Bioflux Processing research, with a couple more examples. It's also allowing me to use the Press from Planetaris: Arig early and the Molten Plastic research also grants me access to the Corrundum recipes. It's a tad bit late right now and I can't paste images in here but those are the ones that slipped through. The Data Tape from Muluna is unlocked at the right spot though..

Not an experienced modder just playing the game so far so idk how much help I can offer

The specific ones you mentioned aren't part of the dynamic system, they're hand made compat patches.

I'll give those their own research that requires having both "Molten plastic" and that specific planetary tech researched but I haven't gotten to it yet as it's a lot of research icons to make. This is particularly annoying as research icons are typically much higher resolution than item/ recipe sprites.

It'll come eventually but it's unfortunately quite a bit of work.

I'm not sure how Molten Tungsten handles it's modded-compat recipes, wether they're dynamic or not (I assume they are because I have a crapload of random compatible mods in there) nor how they do the recipe spriting but I wouldn't be all too surprised if they're all procedurally generated, considering some of the wacky stuff in there.

Feel free to take your time on it, if you want I can try to weave in a bit of 'looking into it' during my exam season, but I have no experience with lua at all so no promises

I've made Gleba's bioplastic recipe a standalone research that can be researched after bioflux processing and molten plastic processing in 1.0.22.
I'll add techs and icons for the other molten plastic recipes bit by bit.
