The most annoying part of manually placing down a mining patch usually isn't placing down the miners (you can blueprint them in vanilla already), but instead properly setting up splitters to merge and lane-balance the output belts into full belts.

Since this mod already knows the belt saturation per lane, it should be possible to have it figure out which belts can be merged together in order to make a fully saturated belt, and to account for a different amount of miners on each side of a belt, the mod could place down a lane balancer for those belts.
