When you choose a simple template without a pole, it leaves a distance of 1 tile between the drills. I wish in this template without a pole there was no distance between the drills. Because I use a large 100 by 100 coverage radius pole and have to make such the drawing templates myself.

I'll add this option in a later update. In the meantime you could try using a custom Blueprint layout.

I've released update 1.6.6 that adds an option for this. Enable the Advanced settings to see it in the power pole section.
