Which side of the belt is the iron on?

In case it's not clear the loaders are taking iron out of the box and placing it on the belt moving away from the box.
Following the convention of splitters I would call this the right side. But having only used the split lane configuration in the last month or so I've had to set the left filter for this lane. I thought it was just a quirk of this mod that it reversed the left/right orientation. But I realized last night this probably is actually another manifestation of the inserter order bug. So I just want to clarify with someone that has been around this mod longer, is this the intended left side for this mod?
