Logistic Artillery

by DiGra

The Logistic Artillery mod for Factorio allows you to complete the game without using trains. It has an easy-to-use interface and requires only steel, plastic, and explosives. The mod extends your logistic reach and prevents artillery from firing if the target net is full. There is a 200 limit of max count of logistic artillery. You can customize gameplay for you deepest wishes in mod settings

g Trigger new supply when destination is empty

Hi,

another feedback here.
I understood that resupply i triggered when the destination has 4 empty stacks.
thats fine so far, but means that the supply cannon will shoot until there are less than 4 empty stacks.

since a shell takes time to arrive, the first shell might fill the destination box, and the other shells are just too much and the content will vanish.
I havent found a solution for this with combinators.

A solution on the modsite might be, that a new supply is just triggered when the destination box is EMPTY. so it is easy to trigger a resupply by taking or leaving the last item in the box. and even if there are multiple shells on the way there is a buffer for them until the box is full.

what do you think?

Hey! Great idea actually, I think I'll add option to trigger arty on empty box by default. It's much more convenient than arty full

Hi again. I though about solution with destination box is empty, but it obviosly will be a throughput issue. So I just release 1.1.0 with additional check for this particular situation. Now artillery triggers when there is empty slots in destination chest + reserved slots for payload that already in progress (flying to target). It should prevent overflow shots :)

hi there,

thanks for the solution.
It wouldnt have become a throughput issue in lategame, since im outputting the content nonetheless to other storages with stack inserter once it arrives.
but i'll try your solution to this now ;)
