This mod is intended to be used in combination with maps with max water settings to force the player to fit their factory to the terrain. I have found that even with the water turned all the way up there is still plenty of land area to build a factory in the early to mid-game without having to worry very much about the water. Since I couldn't make the land any smaller I made the buildings larger!

You are going to need a lot of belt. I start you off with some extra furnaces and miners to ease the pain.

Startup settings allow you to set the size individually for assembling machines, furnaces, and chemical plants. The screenshots are with assembling machines set to 9 and furnaces set to 6. There is also a setting whether you want to adjust the reach of medium power poles to match the size of the assembling machines so you only need one per side of the machine. This only comes into play at size 9 and above.

I do not modify the normal machines in the game. I create new ones and disable the original ones. So this mod will not mess up your normal blueprints and you can make new blueprints for the mod. The mod will not be compatible with other mods that require the normal versions of the machines to be there since you have no way of crafting them.

While the mod is intended to make it difficult to fit your factory on the land, you may find that using just modest size increases for certain machines makes it easier to see when they are active with the alt info turned on.

The pipe connections for the chemical plant look strange size the pipes on the plant become huge. I will try to come up with some adapter graphics in a future update.
