The shadow is noticeable. When the lamp is on, it should be different—a circle or square under the base.
Sadly i think there is no way to make the shadow disappear when the lamp is on
you could create a copy of the entity that is completly the same but has no shadow. when the lamp is on you just swap the entity out.

This will increase the load on the UPS. It doesn't seem worth it.
