If you have Redrawn Space Compatibility enabled, then there is basically no difference. This mod combines both main Asteroid Belt mod (which does very little in the way of planet mod handling) and all of the fixes from RSCompat required to actually make it work, rolled into one single package.
It also has the setting to move Maraxsis built-in, as opposed to having one in RSCompat dedicated to undo that movement made by the original Asteroid Belt (most people prefer to keep Maraxsis where it was, especially since other mods like Planetaris: Arig expect it to be in its original location)
So basically, this mod works 100% standalone, unlike the other Asteroid belt mod, and is generally identical. Only major difference for now, is the asteroid spawn definitions on the edges of the asteroid belt and across the belt itself, which I didn't want to copy verbatim from the other mod.
And it uses Better Starmap Background as a required dependency, so reduced filesize by not requiring a standalone asteroid belt graphic, aaand it also has some compatibility for the secondary belt setting from that mod (which pushes planets/locations outside of the kuiper belt analogue, near the Solar System Edge) if it is enabled.
EDIT: Oh, and it was originally intended to solve a dependency loop between Muluna, Maraxsis Classic, and the original Asteroid Belt mod. Maraxsis was intended to have a Recommended dependency on the original Asteroid Belt, which has a dependency on Muluna (for no reason), which itself needs a dependency on Maraxsis.
