🌐 Enable All Planet Mods

by Kryzeth

Simply has every currently available standalone planet mod on the mod portal as a forced requirement. Glorified shortcut to quickly enable all planets, moons, space locations, and exoplanetary systems (mainly used for compatibility testing). 🌐

i [Suggestion] Mark as Internal

If this mod is intended for compatibility testing, and not to be actually played, would you consider marking this mod as internal?

I am seeing issues where some users are downloading this mod expecting it to be playable, but it is not playable. Which then leads to them downloading "No Surface Restriction" based mods to make them work together. The fact that this mod is not playable without an additional mod that removes all surface restrictions leads me to believe that this mod should be marked as Internal.

I know the mod portal entry clearly says that it is not intended for play, and I don't fault you because you very explicitly communicated it. Yet I still have some users that still expect it to work, and I doubt this mod was downloaded by ~7k mod devs.

While the pack is not specifically intended for user playability, it should technically still be possible (there are several users who have been able to play with the pack), there shouldn't be any requirement for "No Surface Restriction" type mods (and I definitely wouldn't recommend adding those kinds of mods).

If there is some reason people are downloading those kinds of mods (aside from simply user preference, which I can't account for), then they (or you, if you happen to know the reason) can report those issues here.

Well I’m reporting to you that users for my mod were demanding better compatibility of my planet with mods that remove surface restrictions. And it was explicitly because they downloaded “Enable All Planet Mods”, and the planets would not work well together without a mod that removes surface restrictions.

Just know there are quite a few of us playing with the enable all planets mods as well as several alpha planets and systems hence the need for surface restriction removal as not all planets play nicely with each other, so with the Rubia update I've been pushing to get something re-enabled to continue our playthrough…

Sounds good to me, though "as well as several alpha planets and systems", implies to me that the problem may not necessarily be related to this modpack; there's a lot of ambiguity in that statement, but if the problem lies with one of the planets in the pack, I'll mark it as Optional with the reason given.

I'll wait for said person to explain and work from there. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though!
