b Problem with AAI Programmable Vehicles

1 year, 1 month ago

The rotate-to-start problem of your 3 W40k tanks makes it impossible to control them with AAI Programmable Vehicles. They turn, they start, but they stay still, no matter how many angle change commands you send them. That's too bad bc they look really cool and I would be really happy to be able top use them this way ...

I finally fixed it now, hf

I am sorry but I must be missing something bc it still does not seem to work

This is what I do. I input the ID of the tank into the ID signal of the AAI unit controller. I add an angle command. It works. The tank (Baneblade) rotates. Now I set a speed signal into the unit controller. Nothing happens. The tank smokes continuously but does not budge. I then tried to send a series of angle change signals (with the speed signal still set). Still nothing. More smoke, more rotation, but no movement.

What am I doing wrong?

With other tanks (Mammoth, Mastodon, ...) this procedure works.

I made sure I tested with the latest version: 1.2.2

Can you try commanding the AAI version directly with the orange controller? Cause that's how I tested it. Selecting it and commanding it to move to somewhere via Shift+Left Mouse Button. Like that it worked for me

If you command it yourself, it works, of course, but that is not the point.

The idea in AAI programmable vehicles is to use signals sent to the vehicles through what they call "Unit controllers". I will make screenshots and show you. Btw, do you know it I can upload screenshots here?
