Interplanetary Logistics
Short on supplies? Your space platforms ferry shortages between planets.
Local logistics tries first; whatever it can't cover gets delivered by a
ship already flying that route.
- Place an Interplanetary Requester Chest and set its requests like a
vanilla requester chest. If the planet's logistics can't fill it, the
shortage becomes a delivery request. - Enroll your space platforms from the dashboard. A ship only flies
legs already on its own permanent route. - Open the dashboard with the shortcut-bar button or
Alt+I. Watch
the fleet, approve or deny requests, inspect every shipment leg by leg. - Approve or let it ride. Requests auto-approve after a delay you set;
deny or prioritize any of them yourself.
Works with construction too: ghosts and unbuilt blueprints on a planet
count as demand and get real materials shipped in.
The dashboard keeps a fleet monitor, the live request queue, per-ship
shipment progress, destination coverage, and a delivery history, so you
can see what moved, from where, and when it lands.
Your ships' permanent schedules are never rewritten. Temporary stops are
added for each pickup and delivery, then cleaned up. Safe to add to
existing saves.
Requires Factorio 2.1 and the Space Age expansion.
