Hi, first of all beautiful idea, I always diseder such a component to monitor tapes that do not carry anything.
I tried to use it and connected it to a tape with red wire and setting pulse reading, but in output there is no signal.
Am I doing something wrong?

if the belt doesn't have any moving items you should see the S signal increment on the combinator when you hover over it, if you still have troubles with this mod kindly join the discord so we can sort it out more efficiently.
