i Quality over 100%

In a description of a similar mod, I found that the mod automatically accounts for quality > 100%, which instead of rolling for a quality changes it to be at least the first better quality. So every full 100% reached would guarantee the higher qualities. Is that a normal Feature for quality, or does this have to be added by the mod developers? If so, would you consider adding that?

This is the behavior of the mod. My mod currently only expands the collection of qualities and modifies the tech tree for researching qualities. And some minor settings around that.

What you describe can be "simulated" if you enable 100% chance for higher quality in the settings. So everything will be produced one tier better.
I haven't considered another way yet. What mod was it in?

I did not test the other mod, as I was looking for a mod that did not just spam lots of qualities with no unique icons. I liked yours better. It's called Infinite Quality Tiers by notnotmelon and at the bottom of the desc it states what I described.

But if this already exists in some way in your mod thats cool!

I just downloaded the mod and tried to find where its implemented but I realized again that I dislike LUA I could not find it. Maybe you can, but if you dont want to implement this behaviour yourself you might be able to help me get a simple mod going for it.

I looked at the mod and what you wrote. The more than 100% means that there is a guaranteed chance of a higher tier, because the game does not allow you to set more than 1.0 (100%).

However, if you look at the pictures of my mod, there is a screen configuration. There is a chance of a higher quality - that is across the board for all quality tiers, i.e. if you set 0.5 = 50% for a better tier. 1 = 100%, 0.01 = 1%...

Newly, since version 1.0.1, I have added a Dynamic quality bonus. This means that each additional tier has a specified value in % better chance of a higher tier. So if the normal chance is 0.1 (10%), bonus 0.05 and you go from Epic to Legendary (which is tier 4), then (bonus * tier level) + chance = 0.3 (30%) etc.
I added this setting so that it wouldn't be such a pain to make better quality ones later, but the chances slowly increased.

I had a bug there. The dynamic chance bonus should have been negative. So that the chance would be slightly reduced for higher qualities. If it is positive, the chance increases and can get above 100%. Which is a "bug" or a feature, if someone sets it that way. The correct value is -0.004 at which it behaves correctly. Modified in the latest version of the mod

I already noticed that something was not correct there but to be honest I like it how it behaves with my current settings. I will keep it "broken" for now in my run but thanks for fixing Bugs!
