Heat Inserter

Adds an inserter variant that runs on heat instead of standard fuel. Also functions as a heat pipe for thawing adjacent machinery. Recommended for use alongside another mod that provides early heat pipes. Incompatible with the inserter overhaul setting in Bobs Logistics.

Hmm.. looking back on this mod, I did not make it easy to add support for more types of heat inserters; the graphics are all hard-coded, instead of being procedurally generated on the fly, like many of my other mods that have similar "copy-and-modify" functionality.

I'd have to update some core parts of the copy logic, but I think it should be possible. Perhaps not something that can be done in one evening though, I'll see what I can do

I have good news, and bad news. Good news is that support for bob mods has been successfully implemented as of v1.2.0

Bad news, I've made it incompatible with the default setting labeled "inserter overhaul". I remember now why I made my other inserter mod incompatible with that setting, and I've come to the same conclusion here. It just changes too much of the base game, is extremely annoying to deal with, and I just don't like it lol.

I can't make it display an error on load or anything (because it's enabled by default, which itself was a terrible design decision imo, something so massively game-changing should be opt-in), but when boblogistics is enabled, with the inserter overhaul setting, all of the functions of this mod are disabled. When you load up an existing or new game, it should print a message in the chat, warning the user about this.

Space Age and bobsmods.. what an unusual combination. I'm not sure what I did to break Any Planet Start.. or whatever planet mod that is... I suppose the issue there is that I moved the technology creation step into final-fixes, during my attempts to force my automated copy tech logic to work in all cases, and ensure it uses the correct prerequisite.

I see now, that planet mod has a required dependency on this one, so it probably expects the technology to have been created by a certain point in the data step, which it no longer is, because my check for bob logistics pushes it to final-fixes

Hmm, I may have overreacted by moving everything into final-fixes, I tried moving it all back, and nothing seemed to break, so I guess it's fine? Should be fixed in v1.2.1

Yeaaah... i have some crazy modded pack, for now im trying to make a mod that add bobores to other planets generation, in fair way, with someone's bob+space age comparability mod

and i still have same issue as in prev message

OH I know now.

My check for Bob Logistics inserter overhaul setting prevents ALL of the code from running, which means no heat inserter items, recipes, technologies, etc get created, all of which are expected by Tapatrion. You'd have to load up the game normally, with inserter overhaul enabled, disable it, then load up the game again, with the new version of the mod, and THEN it should load up.

It's a very roundabout solution, but I simply cannot deal with that inserter overhaul setting.

Sorry for the inconvenience; I try my best to provide mod compatibility, but I draw the line at Bob Logistics inserter overhaul. The way they implemented it is completely nonsensical imo, and makes it annoyingly impossible to deal with (programmatically speaking)

And apparently, you aren't the only one trying to play with Tapatrion + Bob's Mods lol
