Everybody knows that in this state of the game is not efficient to research with quality science. Maybe consider another lab that have "science capacity" of :quality^2 . Epic instead of 400% (x4) will be x16 and add to this extra complexity i.e. fluid (cold fluoroketon or fluid with other your mods) , stomper eggs (potential new chain of manufacturing) or at least cryogenic technology (which this aqulio maybe can be useful instead of production only cyro science and few buildings).

I agree, this Biolab needs a buff, I think maybe having it generate Spores was too much - as it discourages the player from bothering mid-game because pentapods are no joke, and by the time you're ready to use em, its late enough to think about regular biolabs... Maybe I'll give them a 25% science loss. Unfortunately I don't think its possible to alter how the quality affects science in the lab - but that would be cool.

i also dont know, thinking about this how to set consumption rate per sciencie per quality, but i have no knowledge about factorio api for lua ;/. but for the late game many streamers start to figure it out how to start legendary science, for me is plan for new year, but meantime i will try in long term your mods and if i find any idea or balancing thing i ping you here. thx for the mod!

Why not just give them the 50% of a regulair biolab, or make a second version of it requiring quantum processors, and maybe some fancy astroid piece.
