I've looked for a mod that enables foundries to smelt pure metal items like plates, gears, wires etc. back into the metals they are made of. This would be particularly useful on planets like Fulgora where there's no easy way to obtain metal ores on the planet's surface. If you don't know of another mod that does this (and maybe even if you do) or see any obvious balance issues with it (quality cheese shouldn't be a problem since liquids can't have quality) I suggest adding this to this mod. The metal melting should perhaps be done at a bit of a loss, though, perhaps giving back only something like 75% of the molten metal from items that is needed to create them?

So too balance, return need really few output to production. think about foundry can give product any item even it has no bonus recipe (kind belt) also get production bonus, ratio become even worse.
example. foundry is 4 slot, legendary productive module 3 is 25% so max bonus without mod is +150%. melting recipe also get bonus if using foundry, so even plate melting to liquid, 250%(100+150) * 250% = 625% so that case, plate is less than 1.6 (16%) liquid to balance it.
if melting recipe not allowed module, still get bonus of foundry's production bonus, 250%*150% = 375% so even that case, still plate is less than 2.6 (26.67%) liquid to balance it
Is really worth it?
