Tender mode can be enabled in the map settings. If enabled, a locomotive can pull liquid from a fluid wagon that is directly attached to the BACK of the locomotive. When you have multiple locomotives in a chain that all face the same way, the wagon behind the last locomotive in the chain provides fluid to all locomotives of the chain.
