I'm really intrigued by this mod, I feel the lower level language fits the theme of factorio more than say, a lua combinator. I also love the MP compatibility. I'm struggling to pick up the assembly language used, is it based on another langauge I can learn/can anyone recommend any learning resources/example code?

Hi. Glad you're interested in the mod.
The fCPU assembler is different from the current commonly used dialects due to the specifics of the game.
There aren't too many instructions so if you're familiar with assembler, using the fCPU dialect won't be a problem.
