Factory Train

Build your entire factory inside a moving train.

Factory Train transforms ordinary rolling stock into large, walkable factory spaces. Enter your wagons, build production lines inside them, transport resources between the interior and the outside world, and expand your mobile factory through research.

First Release – Work in Progress

This is the first public release of Factory Train. The mod is still actively being developed, so features, balancing, graphics, layouts, and technologies may change. Bugs and unexpected behaviour are still possible.

• Create a mobile construction and logistics network

• Expand logistics range, construction range, charging capacity, and robot support

• Use request chests to automatically supply your factory

• Cellar and Fluid System

• Access an additional underground level from inside the train

• Route water, oil, lava, and other fluids through configurable connections

• Organise fluid infrastructure separately from the main production floor

• Unlock new wagon systems and upgrades gradually

• Improve mining, power generation, logistics, storage, defence, and interior capabilities

How to Start

1. Research the available Factory Train technologies.
2. Build or use a supported Factory Train wagon.
3. Stand close to the wagon and press E to enter.
4. Build your factory inside the train.
5. Connect import, export, power, mining, logistics, and fluid systems.
6. Expand your train into a complete mobile industrial complex.

Current Development Status

Factory Train is currently WIP and this is its first release.

The main systems are playable, but you may encounter:

• Bugs or incomplete features
• Temporary graphics and interface elements
• Balance changes between versions
• Layout changes during development
• Savegame migrations after major updates
• Missing translations or descriptions

Creating a backup of your save before updating the mod is strongly recommended.

Feedback and Bug Reports

Bug reports, suggestions, screenshots, and savegame examples are very welcome.

When reporting a problem, please include:

• The Factory Train version
• Your Factorio version
• The complete error message
• A short description of what happened
• Steps to reproduce the issue
• A savegame, if the issue cannot be reproduced easily
