Umm... So in Krastorio you don't get labs from the start. You supposed to use the ones from crashed ship to unlock first few tech, but here there is no crashed ship in this scenario, and no labs. Therefore there is no actual way to progress without console. So i would recommend to either spawn the "damaged lab" on the island with player, give at least one lab from the start or at least unlock the tech.

Thanks for the heads-up, when I last did a FITS + K2 playthrough the labs were craftable by default, kinda surprised that changed.

I've made labs craftable by default and removed removed the lab unlock from the tech tree.
You will still need to craft some wind turbines to power your first lab in order to get to power generation, but that's doable.
