The Event Horizon Laboratory is a highly productive but expensive lab, primarily made for the base game.

The lab can be researched after unlocking space science packs. The research requires all base game science packs except military science, 10k each.

Crafting a lab consumes
- 400 electronic circuits
- 200 advanced circuits
- 100 processing units
- 100 express transport belts
- 10 bulk inserters
- 10 productivity module 3

The lab offers a research speed of one, which is effected by research speed technology and quality.
There are no module slots nor beacon effects.
While working, the lab drains 1GW electricity.
To compensate the pricey research, crafting and power drain, the lab offers a base productivity of 400%, so one science pack become five.
