I decided to start a new game tonight , so I restarted the game after playing all day without issues. When I relaunched, I added a couple new mods, and I saw that EPD was ready to update, so I did so. I updated others earlier today,so EPD was the only mod that was updated tonight.

After starting my new game, I noticed it would not let me place some items. I am not sure if it was specific to some types of items, or what, but it would intermittently just fail to place the item (fwiw, the main item that I arbitrarily tested with was a logistics chest, if it is somehow limited to certain items. I can't say for sure if it happened with anything else). It would make the sound it does when you place something, but the item would just vanish. I am playing with a mod that adds bots at the start, so I tried placing a ghost, The ghost appeared as expected, and the bot delivered the item, but it immediately disappeared after the item was delivered.

My first assumption was that it was one of the couple of new mods that I installed tonight, but I tried removing each of them, and the problem remained. When I I tried removing EPD, the problem went away. Given the problem was intermittent before, I can't say for absolute certainty that EPD was the culprit, but it certainly seems likely. I've been playing for 15 minutes or so now after removing EPD and I have not had an issue.

What items did you use that you had issues with? What version did you use before (2.6.1 or an older one?)?

2.6.2 is a literal one-line change.

Like I said, the only Item that I can say for sure I tried with was a blue logistics chest, specifically the Simple Requester Chest from "Bots Bots Bots!(Fast)", I may have tried with other items as well, but for whatever arbitrary reason that is what I kept picking during my testing. As I said, I had just updated all my mods earlier yesterday, and I always do so every time I launch the game, so it should always be the latest released version. EBD was the only mod that showed as not current when I updated it, and I use a lot of mods, so it's pretty common for at least one to need updating.

During testing, I rebooted the game several times, and even started a new game at least once (I was only ~10 minutes into the game when the behavior started). The behavior was consistent, but not completely so. After deleting EBD, the behavior stopped and did not recur at all after several hours of game play last night.

However I reenabled EBD this morning to try again, and I have not been able to replicate the problem in the few minutes of testing I have done. I am as baffled as you.

It seems obvious that such a clearly delineated error must be related to EBD, but the fact that I can't now replicate it seems to contradict that. I'll let you know if the problem recurs, but for now I am going to assume this was an issue on my end.
