Dynamic Custom Start

Generates an Item Vault at the start of the game where starting items can be selected based on the specified settings values. Note: This is designed to give a jump start of selected items (regardless of mods installed), once the item vault window is closed it can never be opened again.

g Question about 2.0

11 months ago

Will this get updated to 2.0? Or does it work and just need a config change?

11 months ago

If that is related to the expansion, I haven't purchased it and can't test it. But I see on steam there is an update so if I can update this to the latest without the expansion I'll do so otherwise, it will have to be later when I buy it. I only play Factorio occasionally on a whim so when I might get the expansion, I couldn't say.

I will note that the code for this isn't overly invasive, so it might just work fine by updating the version unless the few API things I've used haven't changed in a big way. But I will look into the 2.0 version soon if its possible without the space age update.

Factorio 2.0 is the free update and it has broken a few mods. The expansion isn't required for it. I could test just changing the version requirments if you know what the name of the file I need to edit is.

So when I start a world I get:

The mod Dynamic Custom Start (0.2.0) caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the mod author.

Error while running event dynamic_custom_start::on_init()
dynamic_custom_start/control.lua:23: attempt to index global 'global' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
dynamic_custom_start/control.lua:23: in function <dynamic_custom_start/control.lua:21>

Game loads fine though, but yea looks like an update is needed for it to work.
