Yes, it would be great. But the developers probably had their own reasons for making rain available only on Gleba.

Fortunately, they gave us a way to create features like that through mods

Love the mod too it's really add to nauvis chill feeling.

BTW, since I found this mod this way, I was looking for mod that add random event such as meteorite shower or earthquake, say otherwise some event that break the monotony of a long game. If that give you some idea :p.
