g [fixed] Question (Spaghetorio Translation Issues)

Is there a way to get this to show the name of modded ore instead of just 1,2,3 and so on? for the vanilla ore it shows the name as expected but for the modded ore it only shows up as 1,2,3 and so on. It get quite tedious to keep renaming every new patch you place down a miner at when you got 30+ ores

I'm playing spaghetorio

Hey @Rotn240 !

The naming patterns are customizable (in mod settings), but it sounds like you've already have it set up to use the ore name. Is that the case or do you have a different setup?

If the ore names are not showing, I'll have to check that myself with the spaghetorio mod, because Resource Monitor automatically uses names provided by the prototypes. Some mods don't provide (translated) names in the way my mod expects it, so that could be the issue.

Yes I have set it up to use the ore name. for the vanilla ores it shows the ore name but not for the modded or name and i also using the numeric pattern so it add the number behind the name

here is an example of how it looks

Iron 1
copper 1
stone 1

for the modded it just says

1
1
2
3

and such depending on how many patches that has been scanned already.
I will see if I can give you an more detailed example if required

So I finally got to looking further into this issue:

This issue is caused by missing translations in Spaghetorio: They are missing entity names for the resources and only used item/resource names. I've made my mod a bit more flexible to look for those if entity translations are missing (coming in 1.5.6 today). Usually entity-names should be set, but I'm not an expert on that side of modding.

Edit: The translations of Speghetorio are inconsistent, i.e. sp-zirconium-ore is missing both from entity-name and resource-name. Someone may flag this with the author or find someone to do the chore of unifying those translation files.

Alright, Awesome. I'll see if I can mention this to the author
Thanks.
