It would be nice if there was a way to change the pattern for new names without it overwriting all manually assigned names.
Eg. when you have some sites with explicit names ("Oil next to Smelter") or order of acquisition ("Iron 3"), you don't want it to be renamed to "Oil #726" and "Iron #666".
Maybe you could distinguish between default names (definitely fine to auto-replace) and manually named patches? Alternatively, an option to have name pattern changes only apply to newly tracked sites would also solve my issue.
