just tested, yes it is an in and out serter in all flavors. i would change the ingredients and swap the wire for a chip or metal
I actually do have it set for using circuits, but I think the bz aluminum mod overrides that

Speaking of cursed: Make a "hydra" inserter, every time it's destroyed it respawns with one additional arm
