DisplayPanel

DisplayPanel turns Factorio's display panels into compact, readable storage meters. Generate a ready-to-place panel that shows an item, fluid, or signal together with a colored progress bar and an exact percentage value.

The mod is designed for both carefully customized displays and fast factory-wide setup.

Personal default settings

You can change and save the style of the bar in the GUI, this will change the style for the planner mode as well!

Custom display panels

Open the configuration window with Ctrl+P and choose what the panel should represent. You can configure:

an item, fluid, virtual signal, or other supported signal;
a percentage scale or a custom absolute minimum and maximum;
the width of the progress bar;
automatic preset colors or a custom color and transparency;
a separate circuit signal and display icon;
whether the panel is always visible or shown on the map;
personal defaults for future panels.

A live preview shows the result before the blueprint is generated. Blueprints can be used as temporary placement blueprints or kept as regular blueprint items.

DisplayPanel planner

Use the shortcut-bar button or press Shift+P to select the planner tool.

Left-drag over one container, storage tank, or pipe. DisplayPanel detects the stored material and capacity, then either configures a selected built display panel or creates a prepared panel blueprint.

Right-drag over a group to create larger setups:

Select several nearby display panels and storage entities to configure them as individual pairs.
Select several containers or storage tanks with zero or one display panel to create one aggregate meter for their combined capacity.
Pipes inside group selections are ignored, making broad selections around tank areas easier.

The planner can automatically create the required red or green circuit connections. Hold Shift while selecting to invert the automatic-wiring behavior for that operation.

Smart detection

For filled storage, the planner uses the actual contents. For empty systems, it can often infer the intended item or fluid from logistic filters, inserter filters, recipes, pumps, valves, fluid ports, and suitable circuit conditions.

When a fluid system cannot be resolved to one exact fluid, the planner can use a configurable wildcard signal instead. Empty container selections that remain ambiguous open the configuration window so the item can be selected manually while DisplayPanel still calculates the available capacity.

DisplayPanel does not add a new display entity. It generates and configures Factorio's existing display panels, so the resulting displays remain ordinary circuit-network entities and blueprints.
