hey!
thank you so much for reaching out! i thought with all your groundwork, it would be easy to tweak a few things and then its done, but oh boy was i wrong xD Im surprised how much can go wrong by just trying to change one type of ore. Also it took a while to understand, that i dont have to upload every attempt at trying to make it work. thats why i uploaded it way too soon and too often xD
I figured that factorio manages to make me do things that i usually dont enjoy - but somehow i love it, and cant get enough of it. So my idea would be to change the items and recipes into something you learn along side playing the game. As a rather easy example i thought i start with something like a light biology class: the basics of digestion system. (I also have the blood-oxygen circle in the pipe line, just to see if people are interested. The goal would be to learn without effort while playing.
my production chain for this would be the following:
Food -> into assembler -> splits it into Carbohydrates, Protein, Fat, Fiber, Water
Process:
Food (ore/item) → Mouth (break it down) → Stomach (takes protein) → Small Intestine (takes glucose, fat) → colon (takes back water) → poop out the rest
├─ Glucose (Energy)
├─ Amino Acids (Building Blocks)
├─ Fatty Acids (Energy Storage)
└─ Indigestible Fiber (waste)
Final Output: Waste Excretion
I have many more ideas how to make it more detailed and raising the level of learning with that, but i am also aware that i cannot code and chatGPT is not as helpful as i hoped. I will go through all the tutorials on the wiki, but i would also be super greatful for help or some guidance.
Also feedback if you like the idea would be appreciated :)
