Today I got playful with this mod and decided to place the power poles in a way that powered the space around the Memory unit but not the memory unit itself. Turns out I can still put things in and out while spending no energy in return. Leaving this here in case someone wants to take a look at this scenario. If you can not duplicate the same scenario than there is something going on on my end.
