Hello. I think this would be a popular option to add to this mod or maybe there is another mod that does what I am about to say...
I think sometimes it would be very helpful to have a way to keep expensive items spaced further out in cases where one needs to build a long belt.
For example, I was playing pymods, and before getting logistics bots I needed to get some items that are a bit expensive way across the map on a belt.
I can put them on just one side of the belt to keep from making a thousand unnecessarily, but would be cool to have something like your mod to add some free 'packing material' between the expensive items. Kinda like packing peanuts. And then just have the belt box on the other end destroy them. I think this would be fun, original and inventive.
