Dampening Module
Ever had a machine produce quality items you did not want? Dampening modules give a small speed boost but remove quality bonuses from a machine.

Settings
All values in the table are defaults. Speed, quality reduction and energy use of every tier can be changed in-game under Settings → Mod settings → Startup.
How it works
- Quality can never drop below 0, so the modules never make things worse than normal quality. They only cancel existing quality bonuses, e.g. from quality modules, beacons or mods that give machines built-in quality (like Factory Levels).
- Works everywhere speed modules are allowed, including beacons.
- Each tier is unlocked by its own research after the matching speed module research and costs the same.
Recipes
- Tier 1: 5 electronic circuits, 5 advanced circuits
- Tier 2: 4x tier 1, 5 advanced circuits, 5 processing units
- Tier 3: 4x tier 2, 5 advanced circuits, 5 processing units
Languages
English, German, Chinese (Simplified), Russian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Korean, French.
The game picks the language automatically; missing languages fall back to English.
