Hi again,

You really didn't like Better Aquilo, which is already changing the recipe? :P

Joking aside, I do find this idea interesting. I’d been focusing on other aspects of the recipe and hadn’t given the ice much attention. Probably also because the ice platform increases the cost by +47 ice and +400 ammonia, which I probably thought was far too much.

But seeing your mod has made me think about it again. It’s a substantial increase, but in reality these are two ingredients that are literally infinite on Aquilo.
As a result, this ‘merely’ adds complexity in order to produce large quantities, at no extra cost other than the additional heat and electricity required.

I was thinking I could maybe add it to my Aquilo Overhaul, but it’s probably not a change that many people would like, not to mention that it would ‘ruin’ the production lines that have already been built.

So I think there would be two options:
- I could either add it to my mods with a setting that is disabled by default.
- Or I could code compatibility between the two mods to modify my recipe by adding the ice platform only if your mod is present; in that case, I’ll add it to the compatibility list on the Aquilo Overhaul page on the portal.

To me, it’s pretty much the same thing, do you have a preference?

Loved your Aquillo mod. I played early on. But now it has a lot more stuff. I'm just orbiting not tooo far from the vanilla.

So yes! the Ice is so easy to obtain, AND its used in space science which makes it weird that its used in two sciences.
For me its cool that the ice platform is both a resource for making the base bigger and the science itself. It is slightly more expensive but ammonia and ice is so abundant that it was more a thematic change. And yeah, the complexity is throughput. which is always a fun hurdle.

Option One makes the most sense really. That way people can choose to have a harder time. My mods are just me sharing my ideas for the way I play :) so if you like them try to add it to your mod :)
