Where is this tool "Revert Recipe"? you mention before upgrading to the latest version. Just lost about an hour of game time before I noticed most of my stuff wasn't crafting anything and had been cleared.
The tool is located in the toolbar in the older release. To save the recipe to all machines you need to roll back the mod, to the version 0.1.23 and use the revert recipe tool (you can get with shift+c, if you don't find it). After this you can re-update the mod.
